Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Engineer is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through engineering expertise related to fabrication, welding, machining, and technical improvements. The role focuses on maintaining, designing, and improving warehouse equipment, structures, racks, and mechanical systems while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support warehouse operations with engineering solutions related to mechanical and production activities.
- Supervise and evaluate fabrication and welding works, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety requirements.
- Conduct and review welding inspections and coordinate NDT activities when required.
- Support design, modification, and maintenance of warehouse fixtures, racks, pallets, conveyors, and mechanical tools.
- Oversee and perform basic lathe and milling machine operations for fabrication and repair activities.
- Prepare and review 3D drawings and technical layouts for warehouse equipment and improvement projects.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and safety teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize material handling equipment and layouts.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with company standards, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.
- Maintain technical documentation, drawings, and inspection records.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures or operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Production Engineering)
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in:
- Warehouse engineering
- Fabrication or mechanical production environments
- Industrial or manufacturing facilities
Required Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Welding and Fabrication
- Knowledge of welding processes
- Familiarity with NDT methods
- Machining
- Practical knowledge of lathe machines
- Experience with milling machines
- Design & Drafting
- Proficiency in 3D drawing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Understanding of mechanical drawings and technical specifications
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance principles
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations and maintenance teams
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under operational pressure
Preferred Attributes (Optional):
- Warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment experience
