As a Logistics Specialist Your key responsibilities will include:
- Shipment Coordination
- Manage end-to-end shipments from vendors to warehouse
- Coordinate with vendors and freight forwarders for pickup, documentation, and delivery (air/sea)
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of shipping documents
- Track shipments and resolve delays proactively
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as main contact between vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance
- Ensure vendors and service providers meet agreed SLAs
- Freight & Cost Management
- Negotiate freight rates and evaluate shipping options
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
- Support logistics supplier benchmarking and tenders
- Tracking & Documentation
- Maintain accurate shipment records and status updates
- Ensure full visibility of shipments for stakeholders
- Costing & Analysis
- Capture and analyze full shipment costs (freight, duties, etc.)
- Prepare cost reports and recommend improvements
- Warehouse & Customs Support
- Support GRNs, inventory control, and inbound coordination
- Assist in customs clearance and Nafeza submissions
- Ensure compliance with import regulations
- Reporting & Improvement
- Prepare shipment and KPI reports (delivery, cost, timelines)
- Identify process improvements and support SOPs
What You Bring To The Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Good understanding of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs processes.
- Experience with Nafeza and CargoX is a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Skilled in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
