Position Title

Procurement Buyer – Wind Turbine Site Procurement

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Regional Procurement Manager.

Location

Preferred candidate to be based in Ras Ghareb or nearby areas, with willingness to travel frequently to Ras Ghareb site or accommodate onsite whenever required by project execution needs.

Preferred Profile

  • Male candidate preferred due to site-based operational requirements.
  • 5–7 years of relevant procurement experience.
  • Previous experience in wind energy projects or heavy industrial / EPC projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle procurement activities related to wind turbine site operations and maintenance requirements.
  • Source and manage suppliers for site consumables, tools, and operational materials.
  • Manage procurement for PPE, calibration services, chemicals, safety items, hand tools, power tools, and site operational requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities related to major component replacement support and wind turbine maintenance activities.
  • Support urgent site requirements and ensure timely material delivery to site.
  • Conduct supplier evaluation, commercial comparison, negotiation, and bid clarification.
  • Coordinate with site teams, warehouse teams, logistics teams, and project management.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and project requirements.
  • Support framework agreements and long-term supplier management.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and supplier performance.
  • Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and commercial evaluations.

Technical Requirements

  • Good knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Experience with wind turbine operational requirements and site support procurement.
  • Familiarity with:
  • PPE procurement
  • Calibration services
  • Industrial chemicals
  • Site tools and equipment
  • Safety and operational consumables
  • Spare parts and maintenance support items
  • Good commercial negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-track project environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Good command of English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.
