About The Job
Responsible for coordinating logistics, shipping, customs clearance, and material delivery for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with incoterms, Egyptian Customs regulations, and project requirements. The role includes managing shipment documentation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, VAT and dues payments, shipment tracking, invoice verification, issue resolution, and handling import/export activities for project materials and expatriates’ personal effects until final delivery.
Main Responsibilities
- Following up with Colas Rail France and/or Supplier to update the readiness of material to receive for the different projects
- Following up the issuance of the Shipping Documents whether by the Supplier or by Colas Rail France – according to the incoterms on the purchase orders – to ensure its exactness in a way to be in conformity with the Egyptian Customs regulations.
- Coordinating with Colas Rail France and its forwarder to be updated with the planning of shipment (departure/transit/arrival)
- Approving in Cairo the documents issued by the forwarder at the Port of Departure. (other than Colas Rail documents) and coordinating these documents with the forwarder in Cairo to ensure its exactness in case of vagueness.
- Tracking Shipment Progress online
- Issuing the request for Clearance (depending on the project) to the Client in case it’s the Client who takes charge of Clearance
- Issuing different forms by the Bank (depending on the Project) in case we do not request clearance to our client.
- Solving problems encountered at Customs by coordinating with the technical staff on site, providing the specific documents requested by Customs (in case of any).
- Issuing the payments of Dues-VAT to Customs
- Coordinating the Delivery till stored in the warehouses will all concerned parties
- Checking and approving invoices of forwarder and follow-up till payment by Colas Rail
- Issuing necessary documents in case of exportation of material for Check or Repair/Return and follow-up till arrival at destination.
- Requesting offers from Suppliers for the export of expatriates’ personal effects; and after selection, issuing the necessary certifications/Powers of Attorney; following up the removal and green light for shipping till delivery to the destination.
- Following up & Issuance of necessary documents for the import of expatriates’ personal effects till delivery at final destination.
Qualifications/Experience Required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
