Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and forecasts.
•Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of raw materials and packaging.
•Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock coverage in line with company targets.
•Adjust material plans in response to changes in production priorities, delays, or urgent demands.
•Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly material planning and inventory reports.
•Track and analyze KPIs such as stock availability, inventory turnover, and material utilization.
•Participate in cross-functional planning and supply chain coordination meetings.
•Support monthly planning cycles and contribute to annual budgeting processes related to materials.
•Review supplier performance and collaborate with procurement on improving material availability and cost efficiency
Key Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications:
CPIM or Supply Chain certifications (e.g., MITx Micro Masters) are a plus.
Experience:
1–3 year of experience in material planning, supply chain, or related roles.
Measure of Success:
•Availability of materials in line with production plans without shortages or excess.
•Effective coordination between procurement, warehouse, production, and logistics functions.
•Timely response to material shortages, delays, or urgent production needs.
•Accuracy and reliability of material planning data and reports.
•Strong tracking and analysis of KPIs such as inventory turnover, stock coverage, and material availability.
Key Challenges:
•Managing supply uncertainties and fluctuations in demand.
•Balancing inventory levels to avoid both overstocking and stockouts.
•Ensuring alignment between procurement lead times and production schedules.
•Maintaining high accuracy in planning data and system updates.
