Unilever’s Response About Stopping Import and Export Processes of its Products in Egypt

In the middle of April 2022, Unilever responded and confirmed that its industrial and commercial activities, whether export or import operations are proceeding normally and regularly in accordance with all laws and decisions in force within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In her response, she pointed out that the news of the products that were mentioned banning their import, such as Lipton tea and other products, are baseless, as these products are completely manufactured in the company’s factories in Egypt and are exported to more than 45 Arab, African and European countries.

In the statement, the company called on all newspapers and news websites to investigate the accuracy of transmitting such news so as not to cause confusion in the Egyptian market, especially with regard to strategic goods such as tea and products for the prevention of the Coronavirus such as soap.
