Company Description Frame M.E.P is a multidisciplinary engineering services provider specializing in the supply, installation, and operation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The company’s core services include HVAC and VRF/VRV systems, firefighting systems, plumbing and water supply, and electrical and control systems. Role Description The Tender and Procurement Engineer – MEP is a full-time, on-site role based in 6th of October. The role involves preparing tender documents, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and technical proposals for MEP projects, in coordination with engineering and project teams. The engineer will review client specifications, obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations, and ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards. Daily responsibilities include managing procurement activities, issuing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of tenders and procurement documentation. The role also requires ongoing coordination with suppliers, negotiation of commercial terms, and support to project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
Qualifications
- Strong MEP engineering background with practical knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Experience in tendering processes, including quantity surveying, cost estimation, and preparation of technical and commercial bids.
- Proficiency in procurement and supply chain activities, including vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, and negotiation.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Good command of relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, Excel, and basic estimating or ERP systems); AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tenders and procurement tasks under deadlines.
- Awareness of local market conditions, codes, and standards related to MEP works; prior experience in contracting companies is beneficial.
