Job Description The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that enhance the competitive edge of the organization. This involves negotiating supplier agreements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the procurement process aligns with business goals. Moreover, establish a budget that aligns with the company’s financial goals while ensuring that project requirements and quality standards are met.
This position supports Saudi activities, and the candidate will work remotely. The candidate should have the required knowledge of the Saudi market, including suppliers.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; conduct supplier audits and assessments.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform sourcing decisions.
- Maintain databases and documentation related to sourcing activities and supplier relationships.
Qualifications You must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or a related field is often required. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is preferred.
- Typically, 5+ years in strategic sourcing, supply chain or procurement, with a focus on direct materials/materials sourcing.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving procurement processes.
