The Senior Production Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) specializes in digital dental solutions within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the advanced engineering, optimization, and maintenance of production processes and equipment, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical systems. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure the efficient and high-quality production of digital dental products, leveraging expertise in areas such as CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and automated manufacturing.Key Responsibilities

Production Process Engineering & Optimization:

•Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical and electrical production processes for digital dental solutions.

•Optimize manufacturing workflows, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement for digital dental products.

•Conduct in-depth analysis of production data to identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and implement process enhancements.

•Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement across all production stages.

Mechanical & Electrical Systems Management:

•Oversee the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new mechanical and electrical production equipment specific to digital dental manufacturing.

•Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex mechanical and electrical failures in production machinery.

•Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for critical production assets.

•Ensure all mechanical and electrical systems comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Digital Dental Technology Integration:

•Act as a subject matter expert in digital dental manufacturing technologies, including CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing (additive manufacturing), and advanced robotics.

•Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure manufacturability of new digital dental products and smooth transition from design to production.

•Evaluate and integrate new technologies and materials to enhance the production capabilities for digital dental solutions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

•Establish and monitor critical process parameters to ensure consistent product quality for digital dental devices.

•Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve quality deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

•Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and other relevant industry regulations.

Team Leadership & Development:

•Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, technicians, and production operators.

•Lead cross-functional project teams focused on process improvement and new product introduction.

•Develop and deliver training programs on mechanical, electrical, and digital dental manufacturing processes.Required Qualifications & Skills

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

•Minimum of 2 -5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical production systems.

•Proven expertise in digital dental manufacturing technologies (e.g., CAD/CAM software for dental applications, 3D printing/additive manufacturing, intraoral scanners).

•Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, and control systems.

•Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with simulation tools.

•Demonstrated ability to perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis on mechanical and electrical equipment.

•Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

•Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

•Proficient in English.Preferred Qualifications

•Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

•Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).

•Experience in the medical device or dental industry.

•Knowledge of advanced materials used in digital dental solutions.
