ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Buyer, CapEx & MRO Procurement supports the execution of sourcing strategies for capital expenditure and MRO categories within HSA Group’s procurement hub in Egypt.
The role manages end-to-end sourcing events, vendor relationships, and purchase order management, acting as a critical link between the Yemen-based category leadership and the wider supplier base across Egypt, GCC, and international markets.
This position requires proven hands-on procurement experience in CapEx projects specifically related to manufacturing/production lines, industrial machinery, and production equipment. Candidates without relevant CapEx procurement experience within a manufacturing environment will not be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute end-to-end sourcing activities for CapEx projects related to manufacturing and production lines, including machinery, production equipment, line upgrades, expansions, and related industrial investments.
- Manage sourcing activities for MRO materials, spare parts, technical services, and industrial equipment.
- Lead RFQs, RFPs, competitive bidding processes, commercial evaluations, and supplier negotiations for CapEx and MRO requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and other technical stakeholders to understand specifications and commercial requirements for production-line investments.
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers of manufacturing machinery, production lines, industrial equipment, spare parts, and associated technical services.
- Manage purchase order creation, tracking, and goods receipt processes through SAP ERP and/or SAP Ariba.
- Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) for CapEx and MRO categories and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
- Support the Senior Manager in developing category strategies, spend analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and savings pipelines.
- Build and manage relationships with local and international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, technical compliance, and service levels.
- Coordinate with logistics and technical teams to ensure the timely delivery, installation, and commissioning requirements of machinery, production equipment, spare parts, and MRO items.
- Resolve invoice, purchase order, and delivery discrepancies in collaboration with Finance, warehouse, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Track and report savings, spend KPIs, procurement performance, and supplier scorecards on a monthly basis.
- Support contract drafting, commercial review, negotiation, and administration for CapEx and MRO suppliers.
- Participate in supplier qualification processes, including factory audits, commercial assessments, and technical evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, FMCG, or similar production-driven environments.
- Must have proven hands-on CapEx procurement experience related to manufacturing/production lines, industrial machinery, and production equipment.
- Experience sourcing equipment for new production lines, manufacturing-line expansions, upgrades, replacement projects, or major industrial CapEx projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the complete CapEx procurement lifecycle, from requirement definition and supplier sourcing through commercial evaluation, negotiation, contracting, delivery, and commissioning support.
- Solid understanding of MRO procurement, spare parts sourcing, technical procurement, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP Ariba is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial negotiation, supplier evaluation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with Chinese, European, GCC, or other international machinery and industrial-equipment suppliers is an advantage.
