Job Description
– Monitoring and analyzing material shortage reports, initiating proactive actions with suppliers and internal teams to prevent stock-outs and ensure material availability.
– Analyzing production schedules and inventory levels to determine material requirements and plan procurement activities accordingly.
– Issuing purchase orders and communicating forecasts to suppliers in line with demand plans and lead times, ensuring alignment with production needs.
– Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply performance and support long-term sourcing strategies.
– Tracking and managing incoming deliveries, ensuring timely receipt of goods and resolving any delivery discrepancies or delays.
– Assessing the impact of schedule or product changes on material availability and coordinating expedited shipments (such as airfreight) when necessary to avoid production delays.
– Coordinating material change processes, ensuring accurate documentation, clear supplier communication, and alignment with engineering and production teams.
