Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Team Leader to join our Freight Forwarding team. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in Sea Freight, Air Freight, and Pricing, with strong leadership and operational management skills to ensure smooth daily operations and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Operations.
  • Strong experience in:
  • Sea Freight Operations.
  • Air Freight Operations.
  • Freight Pricing & Costing.
  • Excellent knowledge of shipping lines, airlines, and freight market trends.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the operations team to ensure smooth workflow and daily operations.
  • Handle all export and import shipments for sea and air freight.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, agents, transporters, and customs brokers.
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure timely updates to customers.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including BL, AWB, invoices, packing lists, etc.
  • Manage freight pricing, quotations, and cost calculations accurately.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and overseas agents to secure competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Resolve operational issues and provide effective solutions promptly.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor team performance and provide training and support when needed.
  • Prepare operational reports and KPIs for management.
  • Coordinate with sales and accounting departments to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Handle escalation cases and maintain high service quality standards.
