Commercial & Business Development Manager At Prestigious Shipping Agency “Alex”
A well-established shipping agency in Alexandria, Egypt is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial & Business Development Manager to strengthen its commercial operations and drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies
•Identify and acquire new clients and business opportunities
•Reactivate dormant accounts and strengthen existing relationships
•Build and manage the sales pipeline
•Develop relationships with ship owners, ship operators, charterers and international shipping agents
•Develop business across the fertilizer, chemical, commodity, import and export sectors
•Identify and develop new commercial partnerships
•Manage RFQs, quotations and commercial proposals
•Lead negotiations and close profitable deals
•Monitor market trends, competitors and business opportunities
•Prepare regular sales forecasts and pipeline reports
Requirements
•Proven experience in shipping, maritime, logistics, freight forwarding or a related industry
•Strong knowledge of the Egyptian shipping and logistics market
•Established network of relevant industry contacts
•Proven track record in business development and client acquisition
•Strong negotiation and communication skills
•Excellent commercial and analytical abilities
•Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships
•Strong English communication skills
•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
