Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution Weatherford’s digital technologies, including software enabled hardware, software platform, and customised deployments.
- Lead and coordinate digital operations including resource planning, crew and asset utilisation, inventory control, and job execution across all service lines.
- Monitor service quality and operational efficiency, drive improvements through structured planning, execution oversight, and post-job reviews.
- Serve as a key liaison with clients and internal teams, offering technical support and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the job life-cycle.
- Manage full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, capital expenditure, and financial reporting for the area.
- Lead and mentor operations teams, ensuring effective performance management, training, and succession planning.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment on business goals, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal product teams.
- Support BD and sales teams with client engagement, presentations, and solution demonstration
- Collaborate with sales and business development to provide relevant input on commercial strategy, pricing, bid preparation, and new opportunity identification.
Required
- Prior experience with real-time operations centres supporting well construction and production optimisation, involving both hardware and software, including down-hole tool operations.
- Background in reservoir or production-related software applications is considered an asset.
- In-depth understanding of IoT, EDGE, cloud computing, data analytics, and SCADA, particularly in designing digital solutions for oilfield operations.
- Strong grasp of financial management concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team growth and development.
- Excellent ability to communicate, negotiate, and engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Track record of performing successfully under pressure within complex, matrixed organisational structures.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a commitment to ongoing process improvement.
- Knowledgeable about operational challenges in the oil and gas sector and relevant digital transformation solutions.
- Fluent English both written and verbal
- Eligible to work within Egypt without a visa
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field
- Over 7 years of relevant experience in oilfield operations or digital service delivery.
- Over 2 years of P&L responsibility in a leadership or management role.
- Prior experience in job planning, field service management, and operational execution within the energy sector.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
