As a Logistics Specialist Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Shipment Coordination
  • Manage end-to-end shipments from vendors to warehouse
  • Coordinate with vendors and freight forwarders for pickup, documentation, and delivery (air/sea)
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of shipping documents
  • Track shipments and resolve delays proactively
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as main contact between vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance
  • Ensure vendors and service providers meet agreed SLAs
  • Freight & Cost Management
  • Negotiate freight rates and evaluate shipping options
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
  • Support logistics supplier benchmarking and tenders
  • Tracking & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and status updates
  • Ensure full visibility of shipments for stakeholders
  • Costing & Analysis
  • Capture and analyze full shipment costs (freight, duties, etc.)
  • Prepare cost reports and recommend improvements
  • Warehouse & Customs Support
  • Support GRNs, inventory control, and inbound coordination
  • Assist in customs clearance and Nafeza submissions
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations
  • Reporting & Improvement
  • Prepare shipment and KPI reports (delivery, cost, timelines)
  • Identify process improvements and support SOPs

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
  • Good understanding of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs processes.
  • Experience with Nafeza and CargoX is a strong advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Skilled in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
