Job Title : MEP Tendering Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Analysis
- Review tender documents (drawings, specs, BOQ, RFQs).
- Identify project scope, exclusions, risks, and technical requirements.
- Raise clarifications and RFIs to consultants/clients.
2. Cost Estimation
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems:
- Electrical (LV/MV, lighting, power, fire alarm, ELV systems)
- Mechanical (HVAC, ventilation, chilled water systems)
- Plumbing & drainage systems
- Perform quantity take-off (QTO) from drawings.
- Evaluate material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
3. Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Request and evaluate quotations from vendors/subcontractors.
- Compare technical and commercial offers.
- Build cost database for materials and services.
4. Technical Proposals
- Prepare technical submissions in compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure alignment with standards (local authority / international codes).
5. Tender Documentation
- Prepare BOQ pricing sheets and cost breakdowns.
- Develop compliance statements and deviation reports.
- Coordinate with planning and engineering teams.
6. Risk & Value Engineering
- Identify cost-saving opportunities (Value Engineering).
- Highlight risks affecting cost, schedule, or execution.
- Suggest alternative materials or solutions when required.
7. Coordination
- Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and procurement.
- Participate in tender meetings and negotiations if required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 2–4 years experience in MEP tendering or estimation
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation tools
- Understanding of international standards and local codes
