Overview of the role:

The Contracts Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the effective management of contracts across the organization, ensuring that contractual obligations are met, risks are minimized, and the organization’s interests are safeguarded.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive contract management strategies, policies, and best practices aligned with overall business objectives, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert contractual advice to senior stakeholders on complex matters, including negotiations, risk mitigation, and dispute resolution, while supporting informed decision-making.
  • Lead the development and standardization of contract templates, terms, and conditions, ensuring alignment with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end contract and claims management, ensuring effective execution, compliance with AFGRE standards, and protection of the organization’s interests.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives and maximize savings through effective contract structuring and commercial management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company processes, policies, and applicable laws, maintaining high standards in all contract-related activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage multiple priorities and workstreams within tight timelines, adapting to evolving business needs and ensuring timely delivery of key outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the contracts team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and continuously improving work environment.

Required Skills to be successful:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
  • Strong practical experience in contracts management, including claims management and contract drafting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and handle complex claims and dispute resolution.
  • Solid understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and contractual frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and interpret contractual documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.( Civil or Construction Management)
  • Strong experience in contracts and claims management within construction projects.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading contract-related activities and supporting business objectives.
