📌 Job Description
A Senior Tendering Engineer is the technical specialist responsible for preparing, evaluating, and managing the commercial and technical aspects of bids (tenders) for engineering, construction, procurement, or service contracts.
🔑 Core Responsibilities
1. Tender Document Review & Analysis
Interpret tender documents and client requirements, including scope of work, specifications, drawings, standards, and contractual terms.
2. Technical Proposal Preparation
Develop technical solutions, system designs, material specifications, equipment lists, drawings, and method statements in line with project requirements.
3. Costing & Pricing Support
Work closely with estimators, procurement, and commercial teams to translate technical scope into quantities, unit rates, and cost breakdowns. Identify key cost drivers and margin impact.
4. BOQ & Schedules Development
Prepare and/or validate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), equipment schedules, and work breakdown structures used for pricing and tender submissions.
5. Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination
Collect and evaluate technical offers from suppliers and subcontractors, assess compliance, confirm lead times, and integrate subcontract scopes into the tender package.
6. Compliance & Submission
Ensure all technical submissions comply with project specifications, contractual requirements, and tender formats. Prepare complete and well-structured technical bid packages.
7. Post-Tender Support
Support technical clarifications, presentations, negotiations, and assist in the smooth handover to the project execution team upon award.
