We are seeking a seasoned and self-organizing Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science in Digital Commerce team. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and a strong sense of initiative. You will be expected to proactively drive progress, anticipate project needs, and ensure that analytical work is not only technically sound but also aligned with business priorities and customer impact. The role requires someone who naturally engages across teams and stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and outcome-oriented environment.
IN THIS EXCITING ROLE YOU WILL:
• Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics and traditional machine learning solutions, working hands-on, as proof-of-concept and in production environments.
• Manage sub-project workflows independently, identifying next steps and ensuring timely execution at feature level.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, with a particular focus on Generative AI and its practical applications.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that support customer and business needs.
• Lead a small team of data scientists, while collaborating with internal engineering team
• Have opportunities for professional training and certifications as well as mentorship.
YOU CAN BE SUCCESFULL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
• A mindset geared toward ownership, communication, initiative, and continuous improvement.
• Interest in gaining domain specific knowledge concerning the business model of Coca Cola Hellenic.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science roles, with a strong track record of delivering analytics solutions (propensity modeling, forecasting, optimization) both as proof-of-concept and in production.
• Team leadership and ideally people management experience of at least one year.
• Proficiency in Python/Pyspark, SQL and ML libraries, and ideally certification(s) in Databricks or Azure, as well as experience with PowerBI. Other cloud services are also acceptable.
• Concrete experience in SAFe-agile as way of working, as well as DevOps/MLOps in development.
• Strong, self-driven exposure in GenAI. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Foundry will be appreciated.
• Great communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Functional experience in the Digital area (such as Marketplaces, B2C apps, e-Retailers) is a plus.
