Major responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing project requirements, estimating costs, and compiling all the necessary documentation to prepare and submit tender proposals to potential clients. This involves conducting thorough assessments of project specifications, coordinating with internal teams, and gathering information from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinates with various stakeholders to obtain necessary information, negotiate pricing, evaluate tender submissions, and make recommendations to management.
- Assesses project risks, conducts profitability analysis and provides insights and recommendations regarding subcontractor and supplier selection. Analyze tender submissions, evaluate cost breakdowns, and consider factors like project complexity, schedule, and profitability to support informed decision-making.
- Staying updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction tendering.
- This ensures the company remains competitive in the market and adopts the latest methodologies, technologies, and pricing strategies.
- Engage in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to reach mutually acceptable agreements on variation order terms and conditions.
- Resolve disputes or disagreements regarding variations in a timely and professional manner to minimize project delays and disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a MUST.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation & tendering within the construction industry.
- Convenient Experience in infrastructure and water features is a MUST.
- Relevant certifications are preferred include: (PMP), (CCP), (CLAC),(PRMG)
- An in-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, methods, and industry standards is essential.
- Skilled in using tools like AUTOCAD, Revit, BIM, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, and other related tools.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations and analytical skills for evaluating complex data.
