Job Profile Summary:

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our Material Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing end‑to‑end inventory visibility across the Enpal group, providing a transparent and accurate view of how inventory investments impact weekly and monthly cash flow.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Finance, Material Planning, and Operations to align forecasts with business realities, analyze variances, and establish stable processes that drive accuracy and visibility. This role is well‑suited for someone who is both financially savvy and supply‑chain aware, with a strong analytical mindset and a structured approach to building reliable forecasting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop short- and mid-term projections for inventory spending across all Enpal BUs.
  • Translate material planning data into meaningful and actionable financial forecasts.
  • Monitor weekly forecast vs. actuals and explain key deviations (e.g. volume shifts, lead time changes, pricing, and delivery delays).
  • Present clear variance analyses to Finance and Planning stakeholders.
  • Establish a robust, recurring process for inventory forecast tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and structured alignment between Finance and Planning on forecast expectations.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards and spreadsheet models for cash forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop or automate tools that improve visibility and reduce manual workload.
  • Work closely with Material Planners to stay aligned on upcoming demand, supply plans, and procurement shifts.
  • Integrate operational context into financial forecasting to increase realism and reliability.
  • Track and continuously improve the accuracy of inventory projections.
  • Identify and address root causes of forecast inaccuracies through data-driven countermeasures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
  • Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and interpersonal skills; strong grasp of financial modeling, forecasting logic, and supply chain fundamentals
  • Experience: First experience in inventory analytics, cash forecasting, FP&A, or supply chain finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SQL, D365 is a plus
