Job Summary / Purpose:-

  • Manage the procurement process of medical equipment from identifying needs through sourcing and delivery, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with required medical specifications.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts required for medical equipment maintenance and manage maintenance activities in coordination with vendors and engineers to maintain efficient equipment operation.

Key Accountabilities:-

  • Coordinate with various departments to identify their requirements for medical equipment, maintenance services, and spare parts.
  • Create new item codes and reactivate inactive codes within the system.
  • Source and identify approved suppliers for medical equipment and spare parts.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and evaluate supplier offers based on price, quality, and technical compliance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms and pricing.
  • Prepare purchase orders and follow up on the approval process.
  • Monitor the procurement cycle to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods, and update all related transactions on the system.
  • Coordinate with the Biomedical Engineering team regarding equipment repair and maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with the Warehouse team during the receipt and inspection of medical equipment and spare parts.
  • Maintain supplier records and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
  • Monitor equipment warranties, service agreements, and preventive maintenance contracts.
  • Manage tendering processes for medical equipment, including tender preparation, issuance, collection of quotations, and review of required tender documentation.
  • Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, warehouses, and the Finance Department, ensuring timely resolution of billing and outstanding payment issues.

Requirements:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in biomedical operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
