Logistics_Manager

We are seeking a Logistics Manager with direct responsibility for import and export execution, temporary admission, and drawback processes.
Job description:
Export management (end-to-end): prepare shipments for outbound delivery, ensure correct documentation and labeling, coordinate carriers and freight forwarders
Import management (end-to-end): coordinate ocean/air/ground shipments, manage routing, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery to warehouse/customer
Operational planning & execution: build shipment plans based on demand/production schedules. Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, finance, and production teams to ensure smooth flow
Cost & performance management: manage logistics budgets, control demurrage/detention exposure, reduce landed cost where possible
Track KPIs such as customs clearance time, shipment cycle time, incident/exception rates, and documentation error rates
Strategic Development: Formulate and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Logistics Planning & Execution
Develop and monitor logistics KPIs (OTIF, order accuracy, cycle time, cost per shipment, etc.)
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to reduce cost and increase throughput
Coordination: Manage logistics activities, including shipping and receiving, to guarantee timely and efficient delivery of products.
Monitoring: Track quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and overall operational efficiency.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and safety standards, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop the logistics team, providing training, mentoring, and support to foster a high-performance culture.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve logistical issues and conflicts on time to maintain operational continuity.
#Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
10-15 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of customs regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration.
Proficiency in logistics software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
