Import & Foreign Procurement Specialist
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in international procurement and import operations.
Industry Sector: Prior experience in the Agricultural sector (agricultural supplies, fertilizers, pesticides) is highly preferred.
Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for managing international business correspondence.
Technical Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of customs laws, shipping regulations, and clearance procedures.
Solid experience dealing with banks regarding Letters of Credit (LCs) and foreign fund transfers.
Strong negotiation skills with foreign suppliers to secure the best prices and commercial terms.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to handle crises and solve problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting new global suppliers, while building strong, long-term business relationships.
Managing the entire import cycle from the initial Request for Quotation (RFQ) until the goods safely arrive at the warehouses.
Tracking shipments and closely monitoring customs clearance to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
Analyzing market trends and company needs to ensure product availability at the right time and optimal cost.
