About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Storekeeper to support warehouse operations by ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the food manufacturing industry and a strong understanding of inventory control procedures, food safety standards, and warehouse best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Store materials and finished goods according to company procedures and food safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the ERP system.
- Issue materials and products to internal departments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory to management.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all health, safety, and food industry regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
1–3 years of experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Assistant.
Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is mandatory.
Familiarity with inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding of FIFO, stock control, and food safety requirements.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
