Job Purpose:
Dr. Greiche for Glass Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist with strong experience in sea freight operations.
As a leading provider of high-quality glass solutions serving multiple industries and exporting to over 40 countries, this role is critical in ensuring efficient international shipping, smooth coordination with shipping lines, and timely delivery of goods.
Designation: Logistics Specialist (Sea Freight)
Location: 10th of Ramadan City, El Sharkya
Reporting: Logistics Manager
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sea Freight Operations: Manage end-to-end ocean shipments (FCL / LCL).
- Shipping Coordination: Deal with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and agents.
- Documentation: Prepare and review all shipping documents (Bill of Lading, invoices, packing lists).
- Custom Clearance: Follow up on customs clearance and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Booking & Scheduling: Handle vessel bookings and shipment schedules.
- Cost Optimization: Negotiate freight rates and control logistics costs.
- Tracking: Monitor shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
- Issue Handling: Resolve delays, demurrage, or shipping-related issues.
- Reporting: Provide regular logistics and shipment reports.
B. Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field.
Professional Experience:
- 2–7 years of experience in logistics.
- Strong experience in Sea Freight / Ocean Shipping is a must.
- Background in Freight Forwarding or Automotive industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must)
