Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring competency development and achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of annual maintenance management plans in coordination with the Maintenance and Construction Sector Manager.
  • Direct, assign, and prioritize maintenance workloads to ensure efficient use of manpower and resources.
  • Ensure all maintenance processes, procedures, records, and documentation comply with ISO standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintenance team effectiveness through defined KPIs and drive continuous improvement to achieve performance targets.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to production equipment during operation to minimize downtime.
  • Read, understand, and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and servicing tasks.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, repair or replace faulty components, test equipment, and perform necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuity of production operations.
  • Review and ensure the effectiveness and regularity of periodic and preventive maintenance programs for machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Detect abnormal equipment behavior, faulty operations, or defective materials and report findings and unusual conditions to appropriate supervision.
  • Review and oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes for major equipment failures and recurring issues to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or section head role.
  • Proven experience managing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Experience in ISO-certified environments (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 preferred).
  • Experience working with CMMS systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proven experience in mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling expertise.
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance and reliability best practices.
  • Ability to define, measure, monitor, and improve Maintenance and Reliability KPIs.
  • Experience in maintenance financial management, including cost control and budgeting.
  • Practical understanding and application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Strong experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
  • Application of 5S standards and workplace organization principles.
