Background

A technology OEM is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join its forces. The logistics specialist will join a winning team of manufacturers, engineers and experts; building high-tech machines and devices directly impacting the digital transformation of value chains across the region.

In their job, the logistics specialist will face different challenges, and receive the sufficient support that would build their character towards a prosperous career in the field.

Job Responsibilities

-Manage the communication with local and foreign suppliers of goods and services.

-Issue accurate purchasing orders to trigger payment cycle and goods fulfilling by vendors.

-Follow up with the suppliers to assure that the triggered PO cycle is done correctly and with the right documentation at the requested time frame.

-Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods.

-Attend Supply Chain meetings to ensure the procurement process is in synch. with the operational flow.

-Maintain the company’s procurement standard operating procedures under the supervision on the SC Manager.

Reporting:

The Logistics Specialist will directly report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Stakeholders:

Warehouse leader, Finance dept., Operations team.

Qualifications

A university degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or related fields.

1-3 years of experience in the procurement and supply chain field.

Experience with importation and Exportation process is a plus

Experience with procurement for electric/electronic systems is a plus

A good command of English in spoken and written forms is mandatory.

A good command of business terms and their use in effective conversations

High problem solving and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Flexible to work long hours and take the extra mile towards problem resolution.
