Key Responsibiltes:
- Prepare and review all customs clearance documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin)
- Submit customs declarations and ensure accurate HS code classification
- Coordinate with customs brokers, shipping lines, and port authorities
- Track shipments and follow up to avoid delays or penalties
- Ensure compliance with local import/export laws and regulations
- Calculate and verify duties, taxes, and other charges
- Handle customs inspections and resolve clearance issues
- Maintain records of all transactions for audit and reporting purposes
- Communicate with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding shipment status
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 1 years of experience in customs clearance or logistics
- Good knowledge of customs regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with clearance systems (e.g., NAFEZA in Egypt is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
