Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Projects Manager – Civil based in Jeddah, KSA. The Projects Manager Heads the construction department, oversees and manages civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is responsible for accurate project estimating and strategic pricing to ensure profitability while maintaining a competitive edge. You will coordinate project resources, liaise with stakeholders, and supervise project teams to deliver high-quality civil infrastructure projects. You will also drive business development efforts to secure sufficient project volume that aligns with and maximizes the capacity of the construction team, maintaining a full, efficient pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
· Pricing & Estimating: Lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids. Apply strategic pricing methodologies to ensure healthy profit margins while remaining competitive.
· Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
· Execution & Supervision: Plan, execute, and supervise civil construction projects, including residential, commercial, buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
· Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
· Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, monitor cash flow, control costs, and oversee procurement activities to prevent budget overruns.
· Tender Management: Oversee and coordinate tender documentation and platform submissions; utilize refined pricing data to enhance bid success rates.
· Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Conduct site inspections and ensure work adheres to approved plans and regulations.
· Documentation: Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and technical specifications.
· Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams and provide technical guidance.
· Contractual Negotiations: Handle contractual negotiations, variations/change orders, and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
· Business Development: Drive efforts to secure project volume that maximizes team capacity and guarantees continuous employment for the construction workforce.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in civil project pricing, estimating, and management.
· PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and legal regulations.
· Proficient in estimating software, project management software, and MS Office suite.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
