Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the domestic sales strategy in alignment with the company’s general plan to achieve growth and revenue targets within the local market.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, motivate, and evaluate the performance of the field sales team to ensure both individual and collective sales targets are met.
- Field Engagement: Conduct regular field visits to farms, clients, and traders to monitor execution, understand market requirements, and strengthen business relationships.
- Distribution Network: Negotiate and contract with supermarkets, retail chains, and wholesalers to expand the distribution network and ensure a steady flow of local sales.
- Grade-B Product Management: Manage the sale of “sorting products” (items not meeting export specifications) and establish an effective pricing mechanism to maximize returns while maintaining the company’s brand image.
- Market Analysis: Perform comprehensive local market analysis, including competitor studies, crop trends, and price fluctuations, to identify expansion and growth opportunities.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts based on agricultural seasons, projected demand, and market movement.
- Operations Coordination: Coordinate with the operations and logistics departments to ensure product availability and timely delivery, particularly during peak seasons.
- Budget Management: Manage and monitor the sales budget and operating expenses to achieve maximum operational efficiency and profitability.
- Reporting & CRM: Prepare and present comprehensive periodic reports to senior management regarding performance, market status, competitive activities, and the sales pipeline using CRM systems.
- Feedback & Development: Collect and analyze customer feedback and relay insights to the R&D department to contribute to the improvement of product quality and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in agricultural sales, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Solid understanding of local agricultural products and farming techniques.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Advanced skills in negotiation, communication, and relationship building.
