Role Overview
The Demand & Supply Planning Specialist will be a key member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for aligning market demand with supply capabilities to ensure product availability and optimal inventory management. This role requires close communication with foreign suppliers, coordination with internal teams, and proactive planning to secure timely procurement of imported goods and raw materials. The position will play a vital role in ensuring seamless product flow across the supply chain, supporting both customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities in coordination with the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Develop and implement supply plans to secure timely procurement of finished goods and raw materials.
- Maintain strong communication with foreign suppliers to track purchase orders, confirm lead times, and follow up on shipments and documentation.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Import Logistics, and Warehousing teams to align supply schedules with business needs and production plans.
- Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and maintain a healthy balance between supply and demand to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Actively contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by delivering accurate and timely demand and supply insights.
- Identify potential supply risks (delays, shortages, seasonal fluctuations) and develop contingency plans.
- Track and report key planning metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, import regulations, and customs requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management, preferably in FMCG or Food & Beverage.
- Strong understanding of import processes, international shipping terms (Incoterms), and supplier communication.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and forecasting; experience with BI dashboards or forecasting tools is a plus.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) with the ability to liaise effectively with international suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
