Job Title : Procurement Senior Engineer
Key responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end procurement of energy meters, metering components, electronic assemblies, communication modules (and related accessories.
- Source and qualify suppliers for meter enclosures, PCBs, metrology ICs, current transformers, and firmware-related hardware
- Evaluate and negotiate with international and local vendors for smart metering solutions & components.
- Review technical specifications & standards compliance requirements, to ensure procurement aligns with project specs.
- Coordinate with Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams to validate supplier samples and conduct technical approval processes.
- Issue RFQs, RFPs, and tenders; prepare detailed techno-commercial bid evaluation reports and recommendation memos
- Manage frame agreements and long-term supply contracts with strategic meter component suppliers
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and resolve supply chain disruptions affecting production or project timelines
- Coordinate international purchasing including import documentation, payment terms, customs clearance, and incoterms management.
- Track and report procurement KPIs & objectives.
- Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing alternative components and conducting market benchmarking.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, delegation of authority, and internal/ External audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate records on ERP systems covering POs, contracts, and vendor master data
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electric, Electronic, Mechatronics or supply chain Engineering.
- From 2 to 5 years of experience in technical procurement
- Excellent Spoken and written English communication skills.
