Senior Logistics Specialist At Annex Group

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist with previous experience in the textile yarn importing business ( preferred )
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented professional responsible for managing the end-to-end import and clearance process, ensuring all shipments are handled efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Management

• Review and verify import contracts for accuracy, including importer name, destination port, and goods descriptions.
• Coordinate with Procurement Dept. to ensure all necessary shipping documents are prepared correctly.
• Monitor and track shipments from origin to arrival at the destination port.
• Manage the ACID application process for all shipments.
• Source and negotiate freight quotations and price lists from freight forwarders and shipping lines.
• Review all shipping documents to ensure they are accurate and error-free.
• Prioritize and follow up on payments for all shipments.
• Arrange and manage Form 4 applications with banks.

Customs Clearance

• Receive all shipment documents from Procurement Dept and Form 4 from the bank.
• Review all clearance documents for accuracy and submit them to the customs agent.
• Verify that all required documents are available and compliant with Egyptian customs authority regulations via the Nafeza platform.
• Communicate with all relevant parties to ensure the timely release of shipments.
• Prepare and provide supporting documents to the customs agent for clearance.
• Calculate the average cost for all goods pending clearance.
• Monitor and manage customs agent costs and invoices.
• Oversee all processes on the Nafeza platform.

Post-Clearance & Financials

• Follow up with shipping lines regarding any demurrage or storage charges.
• Liaise with insurance companies in case of any shipment issues.
• Inform all concerned parties of the expected delivery date and final costs for each shipment.
• Audit clearance and freight invoices and submit them to the finance department for payment.
