Prisma Foods is a market leader in the food manufacturing industry (known for its premium “RAW” Kettle Cooked Potato Chips), and we are looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented: **Purchasing Specialist**
• About the Role
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for handling procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, following up purchase orders, and ensuring the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies with the required quality and cost efficiency.
• Key Responsibilities:
* Handle purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
* Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely supply.
* Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.
* Search for and evaluate new suppliers to support business needs.
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate with concerned departments to avoid shortages.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records and update procurement reports.
* Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure materials meet required specifications.
* Follow market trends and price changes to support cost-saving initiatives.
• Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the Food Manufacturing or FMCG sector.
* Good negotiation and communication skills.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
