Job Purpose:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies for the Food & Beverage sector within the FMCG industry. The role ensures the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and services at optimal cost and quality, supporting the company’s production and export operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s production and supply chain plans.
- Plan purchasing operations to ensure continuous availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Participate in supplier evaluation and selection processes to ensure compliance with quality and financial standards.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO, FDA, HACCP, etc.) in all procurement activities.
- Coordinate with finance, logistics, and production departments to ensure smooth supply flow.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to reduce costs or enhance quality.
- Prepare periodic reports on purchasing performance and budget compliance.
- Supervise the procurement team and enhance their performance through coaching and development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within the FMCG (Food & Beverage) sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Deep knowledge of local and international suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures and regulatory standards.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
