Procurement Engineer At Swedish Group

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency and quality of materials.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to understand material requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely project execution without excess or shortages.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and procurement trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in the resolution of procurement-related issues and disputes with vendors.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management regarding budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering ( mechanical , electric or related field ) .
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of construction materials, services, and industry standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
