Position: Procurement Engineer
Location: Alexandria, Egypt

Responsibilities:
-Procure materials, equipment, and services required for marine engineering, shipbuilding, and maintenance operations.
-Work closely with engineering and technical teams to understand specifications and requirements.
-Issue RFQs to suppliers as per vendor nominations agreed upon with management and technical leads.
-Perform thorough market and supplier research; evaluate offers and product options.
-Analyze supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and prepare business case justifications.
-Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, payment terms, and contract compliance.
-Act as the local point of contact between the technical/supply chain teams and suppliers.
-Manage and maintain supplier relationships, including addressing non-technical issues.
-Support continuous improvement initiatives, such as supplier database assessments, cost reduction programs, and internal audits.
-Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, classification society standards, and maritime regulations.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Marine and Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
· 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
· Alexandria resident.
· Very good command of English (spoken and written)
