Responsibilities

As Overseas Country Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the country sourcing strategy in line with the company’s global growth objectives, ensuring sustainable business expansion while meeting volume, revenue, and margin targets.

You will lead all sourcing-related activities across Egypt, overseeing supplier relationships, merchandising, quality, compliance, sourcing office operations, and financial performance. By continuously monitoring market dynamics and industry developments, you will identify opportunities and risks, adapting sourcing strategies and business plans to changing conditions. You will drive commercial negotiations with suppliers and business partners, leveraging strong market knowledge and commercial acumen to secure competitive advantages while maintaining quality and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in building and strengthening the supplier ecosystem, ensuring alignment with company standards in quality, compliance, cost efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities support broader business priorities and growth ambitions.

In addition, you will lead strategic initiatives focused on process optimization, system enhancement, and organizational effectiveness, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the sourcing organization.

Organizational Scope

Reporting directly to Category Supply Chain Director, the role holds end-to-end responsibility for the country sourcing operation and overall sourcing performance.

The scope includes sourcing strategy development, supplier management, merchandising oversight, quality and compliance governance, sourcing office management, and financial performance management. The role is accountable for achieving country-level business targets while ensuring alignment with global sourcing strategies and corporate objectives.

The position requires close collaboration with regional and global stakeholders to drive scalable growth, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the sourcing footprint within the country.

Skills and Experience

  • You bring extensive experience across sourcing, merchandising, quality, compliance, sourcing office management, and finance, with a deep understanding of the apparel and textile supply chain.
  • You have demonstrated success in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier networks, and delivering business growth while balancing cost, quality, speed, and compliance requirements.
  • You possess strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build long-term partnerships across diverse business environments.
  • You have experience leading strategic transformation initiatives, including process improvement, system development, and organizational effectiveness projects.
  • You are comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments, making data-driven decisions and responding proactively to changing market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience across sourcing, merchandising, quality, compliance, sourcing office management, and finance
  • Strong commercial acumen and advanced negotiation capabilities
  • Proven experience in strategy development, process optimization, and system improvement initiatives
  • Advanced level of English
