Logistics Specialist At ABCO Group “Alex”

ABCO Group is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Graduate of a Logistics Academy.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics and customs clearance, with solid

knowledge of:
•Modern ACID System.
•Nafeza Platform for both Import and Export operations.
•Dealing with Shipping Lines and Airlines.
•English Language and Microsoft Office applications.
•Ability to work in both office and field environments according to business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
•Review import documents and coordinate with the Purchasing Department prior to uploading them to the system.
•Obtain and follow up on ACID numbers.
•Upload, review, and follow up on required documents to ensure smooth processing and avoid delays.
•Prepare daily logistics reports and shipment status updates.
•Follow up on shipment arrivals and coordinate the required procedures.
•Prepare shipments for customs release and follow up on storage/demurrage payments.
•Follow up on sea and air shipments booked by the company.
•Assign shipments to customs brokers and upload the required authorizations.
•Follow up on customs clearance procedures through the Nafeza Platform.
•Review applicable customs duties and fees, follow up on payments, and ensure timely shipment release.
•Prepare claims for the recovery of applicable penalties or fines from shipping agencies.
