We Are Hiring: Foreign Purchasing Specialist

A manufacturing company specialized in textiles and garment accessories, located in Badr City, is looking for a qualified Foreign Purchasing Specialist to join its Supply Chain team.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive foreign purchasing requests and verify specifications, quantities, and required delivery dates.
Source and evaluate international suppliers according to price, quality, reliability, and lead time.
Request, analyze, and compare quotations and prepare clear purchasing recommendations.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and shipping conditions.
Issue and follow up purchase orders from confirmation until materials arrive at the company.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and internal departments.
Review shipping and import documents, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
Follow up production and shipment status and provide regular updates on expected arrival dates.
Calculate and compare the total landed cost of imported materials.
Coordinate with Planning, Warehouses, Production, Finance, and Quality to ensure material availability and prevent operational delays.
Maintain accurate supplier records, purchase orders, quotations, and shipment documentation.
Evaluate supplier performance and support the qualification of alternative suppliers.
Immediately report any expected delay, documentation issue, or supply risk and propose practical alternatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in foreign purchasing or import operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in textiles, garment accessories, packaging materials, or industrial raw materials is highly preferred.
Very good command of written and spoken English.
Good knowledge of import procedures, shipping documents, payment terms, and Incoterms.
Strong negotiation, supplier evaluation, and cost-analysis skills.
Excellent follow-up, documentation, and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage several purchase orders and shipments simultaneously.
Strong communication and coordination skills with internal departments and external suppliers.
Good command of Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP systems.
A proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented personality.
