Key Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to client contractual agreements by implementing and executing logistics operations and plans in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics data.
- Analyze regulatory standards to support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Receive and process Booking Order Forms (BOFs) from Logistics Operations Section Heads (OSH) to arrange shipment bookings (air/sea) for specified materials, quantities, and timelines from Port of Loading (POL) to Port of Discharge (POD).
- Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and steamship lines (SSLs).
- Negotiate optimal rates and terms in line with the Rate Target Policy (RTP) set by the Logistics Operations Manager (LOM).
- Prepare and issue Shipping Declaration Forms (SDF) and Insurance Declaration Forms (IDF) for all air and sea shipments before dispatch.
- Collect and verify shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading) from suppliers or directly from SSLs/3PLs.
- Execute importation procedures for project materials at the destination port.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure accurate and timely issuance of importation documents.
- Follow up on payment requests and ensure the timely settlement of invoices for logistics service providers at the destination.
- Prepare and submit weekly statistical reports on shipping activities.
- Maintain and update the Shipping Quotations Form (SQF) to reflect current market rates and trends.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, Incoterms, and international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Familiarity with CargoX and Nafeza platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up capabilities to ensure issue resolution and process completion.
