Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Boarding Officer at Greenport Shipping Agency, located in Port Said / Suez.
The Boarding Officer serves as the first point of contact for vessels arriving in Port Said / Suez , whether for Suez Canal transit or standard port calls. You will facilitate the smooth entry and departure of assigned ships, ensuring all statutory formalities and required declarations are fulfilled in a timely manner.
This position demands the ability to manage paperwork and on-site work simultaneously, efficiently juggling the demands of tight schedules and unexpected events. You will liaise directly with Ship Captains, Chief Engineers, and all relevant authorities (including immigration, customs, and SCA), fostering positive relationships to streamline operations.

Daily tasks include:
Acting as primary contact for vessels upon arrival and departure.
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Ship Captains, Chief Engineers, and local authorities.
Proposing improvements to operational workflows and assisting with their implementation.
Liaising with port authorities for ship clearance and approvals.
Managing, arranging, and overseeing crew changes and coordinating the clearance and delivery of spare parts or supplies inside the port or during canal transit.
Overseeing the completion and submission of all required documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.
Ensuring services are provided efficiently despite changing arrival times and operational challenges.
Maintaining a high level of organization to adapt to the fast-paced and variable nature of vessel scheduling.

Qualifications:
2- 5 years of experience in managing onboard vessel transits and port call operations.
Proven proficiency in liaising with port authorities, including immigration, customs, and the Suez Canal Authority, and in handling maritime documentation.
Strong organizational and coordination skills, able to work with tight schedules.
Experience in crew changes as well as spare parts clearance and delivery.
In-depth knowledge of Suez Canal and other authority compliance standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
Ability to problem-solve and pay close attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
