Import/Export Team leader logistics Specialist “Alex”

required for a well-known mechanical and electrical specialized company in Alexandria.
Job Description:

• Managing all import/export shipments and ensures compliance with all required government laws and regulations.
• Dealing with local shipping lines and agents for freight inquiries (preferred who has good contact with several freight forwarders)
• Dealing with truckers and customs clearance brokers
• Dealing with suppliers worldwide
• Responsible for all required Export/Import documentation: Bill of Lading, invoices, packing lists, certificate of origin, Euro1 certificate and letters of credit when needed.
• Good experience in the new customs systems ACID.. NAFEZA
• Actively advise and participate in making decisions regarding the selection of carriers and routes.
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining an accurate inventory.
• Checking the country legislation and regulations related to import and export and communicating the related department
• Preparing daily/weekly reports
• To work effectively with other team members to ensure good operating procedures and practice
  Job Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or applicable degree required.
• NOT LESS THAN 6 years’ experience in the same field
  •Experience MUSTT be gained within an importing/exporting company or an end-user organization NOT freight forwarder companies.
• Fluent in English
• Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems
• Proficiency using PC-based applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and alternate meeting technology
• Strong strategic ability
• Ability to identify business issues and generate solutions
• Self-starter with attention to detail
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Knowledge of Import regulations and international agreements
• Resident in Alexandria
