About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially sharp E-commerce Associate who’s genuinely good with suppliers — someone who can find manufacturers, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage vendor relationships end to end. This isn’t a listings or admin role: we want someone who understands e-commerce operations and can hold their own in a supplier negotiation. Day-to-day operations and product listings are part of the job, but sourcing and vendor management are the core of it.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Development
Research and approach new manufacturers and suppliers, including sourcing from China or other Asian markets
Assess suppliers on pricing, MOQ, lead times, warranty, and certification
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and shipping terms
Onboard new suppliers and act as their main point of contact
Track supplier performance and flag risks (lead time slippage, quality issues, pricing changes)
Daily Operations
Process orders end to end — stock checks, dispatch, tracking, and delivery
Communicate with suppliers on stock, lead times, and order discrepancies
Resolve customer issues including warranty claims, delivery problems, and returns
Log and track everything in our ticketing system
Product Listings
Upload and maintain listings across our e-commerce platforms
Audit listings regularly to catch and fix errors
AI & Automation
Use AI tools to speed up communications, negotiations, and ticket summaries
Spot opportunities to automate order processing and supplier follow-ups
What We’re Looking For
Hands-on supplier experience — finding, negotiating with, or managing vendors (this is the most important qualification)
Comfortable pushing back on suppliers on price, MOQ, or lead times
2+ years of experience in e-commerce, online retail, or sourcing/procurement
Experience with backends such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or BaseLinker (helpful, not a dealbreaker)
Strong written English
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to speed up writing, research, and repetitive tasks
Nice to Have
Sourcing experience from China or Asia specifically
Knowledge of shipping, customs, and product certification
Experience with Redmine, Jira, or Zendesk
Background with bikes, scooters, EVs, or other technical products
Drop-shipping or consignment model experience
