Transportation operator
Key Responsibilities
Safe Transport Following up: Efficiently haul 20’, 40’, and high-cube containers to and from ports, rail ramps, and customer facilities.
Documentation: Manage port documentation, interchange reports (EIR), Delivery Orders, invoicing and customs clearance paperwork accurately.
Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and chassis to ensure safety and compliance.
Port & Terminal Navigation: Navigate container terminals efficiently, adhering to terminal rules, appointment times, and safety protocols.
Communication: Maintain regular contact with dispatch to provide real-time updates on route progress, wait times, or delay issues.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum [e.g., 2 years] of transportation operation experience, with specific experience in container, parcels, LCL, FCL, Bulk transportation operations.
Skills: Strong communication, time-management skills, and familiarity with ELD (Electronic Logging Devices).
