Key Responsibilities
📊 Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the Pricing Team to achieve high performance.
Allocate RFQs and monitor team workload and daily priorities.
Ensure timely quotation turnaround in line with agreed SLAs.
Provide guidance on complex quotations and strategic opportunities.
Monitor team performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
💰 Pricing Management
Review and approve complex freight quotations.
Develop competitive pricing strategies while protecting company profitability.
Negotiate special rates with shipping lines, airlines, and service providers.
Support strategic accounts and key customer pricing requirements.
Ensure accurate cost calculations and competitive buying options.
🚢 Carrier & Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and logistics partners.
Negotiate annual agreements and special rate contracts.
Conduct regular carrier performance reviews.
Monitor service quality and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
Stay updated on market trends, freight rates, and industry developments.
⚙️ Process & Pricing Excellence
Maintain and continuously improve the pricing database.
Ensure quotation accuracy and compliance with company SOPs.
Analyze pricing performance and profitability.
Support enhancements to the ATLAS system and pricing processes.
Drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
🎓 Education
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
💼 Experience
4–5 years of experience in freight forwarding.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Pricing or Commercial Pricing.
Hands-on experience with:
Ocean Freight (Import & Export)
Air Freight
Inland Transportation
Customs Clearance
Cross Trade
ISO Tanks / Flexi Tanks (preferred)
📚 Technical Knowledge
Excellent understanding of Incoterms 2020.
Strong knowledge of shipping line services, routing, and carrier contracts.
Solid understanding of freight surcharges and local charges.
Experience handling DAP, DDP, EXW, FCA, FOB, CIF, CFR, and Cross Trade shipments.
Ability to calculate accurate landed costs.
Experience using freight forwarding systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, and formulas).
