Job Overview: The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our trucking fleet, ensuring efficient logistics, compliance with regulations, and exceptional customer service.
This role demands strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of the trucking industry, and a proven track record in operations management
Key Responsibilities- Fleet Management: Supervise the scheduling, routing, and tracking of the company’s fleet to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipment. Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage operations teams, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local and international safety standards and regulations, including regular maintenance and inspections of vehicles. Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures. Operations Optimization: Analyze and improve operations processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, driver performance, and operational metrics for senior management. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues that arise, implementing proactive measures to prevent future occurrences. – Technology Utilization: Implement and utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant technologies to enhance operations.
Qualifications: –
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in trucking operations or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of local and international transportation regulations.
Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Fluency in Arabic and English (preferred).
