Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Cairo, Egypt, for a Planning and Cost Control Engineer. The role involves managing cost control processes, preparing cost estimates, analyzing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial efficiency. The engineer will also handle cost reporting, assist in project scheduling, and provide insights to optimize project performance and control measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks or delays.
- Prepare project budgets and track actual costs versus planned costs.
- Analyze cost variances and prepare weekly/monthly progress and cost reports.
- Review subcontractor invoices and monitor the financial impact of change orders.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to align materials, resources, and project timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and cost control in construction or finishing projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and project control practices is a plus.
