Position:
Group Inventory Superintendent
Reporting to:
Group Inventory Manager.
Primary Responsibility:
Group Inventory Superintendent role supports the Group Inventory Manager in overseeing all inventory related functions across the group, drives process improvements, monitors compliance with inventory procedures, and assists in leading the inventory team ensures stock accuracy and maintaining optimal stock levels and operational efficiency,
And acts as the main point of contact in the absence of the Group Inventory Manager and plays a crucial role in.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Strategies:
– Coordinate daily inventory operations and provide guidance to site inventory teams, if needed.
– Ensure compliance with inventory & safety processes, policies, and quality control standards.
– Design and implement effective inventory management strategies to achieve inventory targets and ensure efficient operations.
-Demand planning and forecasting.
-Monitor stock movements, transfers, adjustments, and quarantined inventory.
-Prepare and present inventory reports and dashboards to support decision-making and forecast planning.
-Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
-Monitor obsolete, slow-moving, and excess stock and provide soulations to reduce its values.
Team Leadership & Communication
– Act as the second-in-charge in the absence of the Group Inventory Manager.
-Provide training, coaching, and support to inventory staff across the group.
-Assist with performance monitoring and development of inventory team members.
-Communicate effectively across multiple departments and diverse cultural environments to achieve inventory targets.
Audit, Iso Compliance & Risk Management
– Support audit activities and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
– Help enforce safety and OSHA Compliance/standards across inventory areas.
– Identify risks related to stock control and recommend preventive measures.
- Other duties as directed.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
-Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
-Strong data analytical skills.
-Well understanding of drilling and mining operations or similar industry
-Ability to work across multiple sites with, manage workload and competing priorities.
-Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with different stockholders’ cultures.
Training & Education Required:
-Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
-Experience of at least 10 years working in inventory, supply chain, or materials management.
-Experience with ERP/WMS systems, with preference for Microsoft D365.
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job
- Responsible for ensuring necessary vaccinations are kept updated
- Ability and willingness to travel, and work on a roster
KPIs
- Stock accuracy rate
- Zero major non-conformances audits and ISO compliance.
- Achieve Company inventory turnover target.
- Reduce inventory Obsolete or slow-moving inventory (OSMI) values achieve better utilization of company NWC across the group.
- Compliance with company HSE policies and targets.
- Accuracy and timeliness of inventory reports.
- Other company targets related to inventory or/and supply chain.
